Atlantic Grille’s Sizzling Summer Menu, Featured in the Sun-Sentinel’s Dining Scene

This stunning sea-themed restaurant has launched summer choices that will run through at least September.

“The majority of guests as well as myself tend to try and eat healthier and lighter during the warmer months,” says executive chef Adam Gottlieb. “I wanted to create dishes that utilize more seasonal vegetables to give a filling dish and steer away from the heavier carbohydrates a bit.”

Several dishes have been tweaked, but all-new creations include: local snapper in stewed tomatoes, capers and olives over garlic broccoli rabe ($29); grilled salmon with summer vegetable quinoa and lemon-compound butter ($28);  filet mignon with a chickpea, feta, red onion, cucumber, olive and tomato panzanella with oregano vinaigrette ($38), pan-roasted hanger steak with asparagus and roasted corn relish, fresh herb & garlic sauce ($30); grilled flatbread with arugula, mozzarella, tomato, prosciutto, basil and balsamic ($13); summer risotto with veggies, pea puree and bacon ($14); grilled shrimp with soba noodles, veggies and peanuts ($27); and Caribbean jerk pork chop with hearts-of-palm salad and plantains ($29). Don't miss the grilled cobia with charred romaine, avocado, pickled red onion, bacon, manchego and herb dressing ($28).

New desserts are coconut-pineapple cake with coconut ice cream ($9) and peaches-and-cream Belgian waffle with pecan praline sauce and vanilla ice cream ($10).

A three-course prix fixe for two people from Sunday to Thursday for $33 per person with a bottle of select wine will run through September. The menu changes each month; July's options include grilled peach-and-white grape gazpacho, chicken schnitzel and bananas Foster cheesecake.

Weekend brunch continues for the summer, but lunch is served only Fridays until the fall.
